Victor Altadonna, M.D.
Dr. Altadonna received his bachelor of arts degree from Rutgers College, where he graduated magna cum laude. He received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College. Dr. Altadonna was awarded the Joseph A. Collins Scholarship Award, Class of 1947 Scholarship Award, Lange Publications Award, and the Pathology Runners-Up Award. He served his medical internship, surgery residency and urology residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and has made many presentations at the hospital.
Dr. Altadonna is currently a member of the Hobart Hare Honor Society, Alpha Omega Alpha, American Medical Association, Philadelphia Urologic Society, Pennsylvania Medical Society, and Lancaster County Medical Society. He is certified by the American Board of Urology. Dr. Altadonna was previously a clinical assistant professor and has acted as the attending physician and surgeon at numerous hospitals.

John D. Bartges, M.D.
Dr. Bartges received his bachelor of science degree with honors from Princeton University, after which he completed his medical degree at Jefferson University. While there, Dr. Bartges was awarded the Student Essay Prize. He continued his postgraduate training as an intern at Pennsylvania Hospital and as a research fellow with the National Kidney Foundation. Dr. Bartges also served a residency in urology at the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania.
Currently an assistant clinical professor of surgery at Hershey Medical Center, Dr. Bartges is also a member of the American Urologic Association, Lancaster City and County Medical Society, American Medical Association, and Philadelphia Urologic Society.
Dr. Bartges is certified by the American Board of Urology.

Kenneth D. Lessans, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Lessans received his bachelor of arts degree and graduated with honors from Colgate University. He received his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine. Dr. Lessans served a residency in general surgery and in urology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and was chief resident in urology in his last year there.
He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, the American Urological Association, and the American Society of Clinical Urologists.
Dr. Lessans is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of the Lancaster County Medical Society and has many published articles, has given numerous lectures, and has been honored with research awards.

Mark V. Jarowenko, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Mark V. Jarowenko, M.D., F.A.C.S., received his combined degrees, B.S. with honors in biology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and M.D. from Albany Medical College (Union University, Albany, New York) at the age of 24 (1978). This was followed by two years of general surgical residency at Albany Medical Center, Albany, New York.) He was a resident in urology at Albany Medical Center, completing his chief residency in 1983. He was in fellowship (renal transplantation) at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas, where he also served as an instructor in surgery (urology).
Dr. Jarowenko joined Lancaster Urological Group in 2000.
Dr. Jarowenko is the author of 25 peer-reviewed articles and six book chapters. He has made innumerable clinical-scientific presentations including original research of prostate cancer at The American College of Surgeons Forum.
Dr. Jarowenko's specialty surgical interests and postgraduate training expertise include genitourinary cancer (prostate, kidney, bladder and testis cancer). He is trained in laparoscopic urological surgery with a special interest in renal and adrenal laparoscopic surgery. He performs all forms of diversion and reconstructive surgery including bladder replacement. He is fully trained in renal transplantation.
Other areas of interest include genitourinary implant surgery (prosthetics, artificial sphincters, Durasphere, Contigen), correction of female and male incontinence, treatment of benign conditions of the prostate, urinary stone management (shock wave lithotripsy, laser lithotripsy, and percutaneous lithotripsy) and male infertility (vasectomy, reversals).
Dr. Jarowenko is currently an attending urologist at Lancaster General Hospital, Lancaster Regional Medical Center, Ephrata Community Hospital, Community Hospital of Lancaster, and Harrisburg Hospital.
Dr. Jarowenko is board certified by The American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of The American College of Surgeons. Other scientific memberships include American Urological Association, American Society of Transplant Surgeons, Urological Society for Transplantation and Vascular Surgery, Urologic Associate of Pennsylvania, American Association of Clinical Urologists, American Fertility Society, American Medical Society, Pennsylvania Medical Society, Lancaster City and County Medical Society.
Recent honors include Pfizer Scholarship in Urology (1998) and being named to Best Doctors in America (a peer selected honor), in 2001.

David Svetec, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Svetec earned his bachelor's degree in chemistry from Franklin and Marshall College, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Dr. Svetec then entered the United States Air Force where he completed his residency in urologic surgery at Wilford Hall Medical Center and Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. He then served as an attending urologist for five years at Scott Air Force Base Hospital, Evans Army Community Hospital, and the United States Air Force Academy Hospital. During his military service, Dr. Svetec became a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and was awarded the Air force Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service. After finishing his military service, Dr. Svetec completed a clinical laparoscopy fellowship (minimally invasive surgery) in San Antonio before joining the Lancaster Urological Group in April 2004.
Dr. Svetec is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Urological Association, the American Association of Clinical Urologists, and the Society of Government Service Urologists.
